In cooperation with UNIMC Wien, Morgan Stanley invited a selected group of students to join them for an interactive workshop designed to give participants a first introduction into the investment banking practice. Together with a team of M&A professionals from Morgan Stanley, students were assigned to advise shareholders of particular companies on possible Mergers and Acquisitions. A realistic “live” situation was created by intense negotiation processes among the different groups of students that were even intensified by asymmetric information. Moreover, current changes in the environment of the consolidating industry, each group’s company was part of, made the workshop very dynamic and challenging.
